With 20th Century Fox having distributed his last feature film, I AM - a thoughtful reflection on contemporary faith, he returned for a second collaboration with writer/director John Ward, a film titled Heart of the Country, as the Director of Photography and Editor.

Heart of the Country, stars television and film actor Gerald McRaney (SAG Award nominee for Deadwood) and country singer and One Tree Hill star Jana Kramer (who released the highest charting female country debut since Taylor Swift).

Marcus has crossed a new milestone with the visual work in Heart of the Country. The film also marks a project escalation to a seven figure budget.

His visual talents take him and his work around the globe. His quality of output, care and drive, bring him back to the set, where he continues to produce top tier work for an ever-growing client list.

Heart of the Country, the latest work of Chris Marcus, is his largest budget feature film to date, almost quadrupling the budgets of previous work. Marcus brought his signature cinematic style as both director of photography and editor to this faith inspired drama. The film features SAG Award nominated Deadwood actor Gerald McRaney, as well as One Tree Hill actress and country music star Jana Kramer.
